Re: Johanna Konta
More 'British' than some of the cricketers and rugby players that play for us (chris froome too) but I agree with mentor, shouldn't be representing us.

Would hate for football to go the same way regarding eligibility.

Re: Johanna Konta
I believe she's lived here since 2006 and became a british citizen in 2012, so fine by me

she was asked last week if she would ever represent Australia and said no, she considers England her home and nationality.

Re: Johanna Konta

Where's your line in the sand on eligibility?

I may have to backtrack a little as I thought for some reason she moved here as an adult.

Personally, I think you should've have had at least 4-5 years of your education here so anyone moving here as an adult should be ineligible, regardless of the one parent rule.

Farah yes, Froome no.

Re: Johanna Konta
What with Andy and Jamie also in the semis's, happy days.

Nice that Murray also took his record against Australians the other day to something like won 24 and lost 0.

Need a reborn Leyton Hewitt.

Re: Johanna Konta
So is she an Aussie or a Brit, then? Or does it depend if she wins or loses?

Toe Rag 10:09 Wed Jan 27
Re: Johanna Konta
If she wins it's a great British achievement.

If she loses she's a useless Aussie slapper.

Isn't it obvious?

Does she get it?

It's win/win by those standards, Toe Rag ;)
